We are working diligently to resolve the Retention Ponds Violations. One of our board members is also working to access a grant that will get these ponds where they need to be. Due to Government Shut Downs and Grant Accesses, it has been difficult to achieve through Clean Water and Watershed Acts. I am working with EPA to establish a grant as grants have opened back up. Our goal is to achieve such a grant that will pay for the required services to get ponds functional and operating within required laws. I am also seeking funding that will maintain these ponds. When we do secure the grant(s) the Board will then review the current HOA Dues and adjust them accordingly. Currently we do not have any grants secured, and must meet Federal and State EPA laws, for this reason is why we had to add in additional fees for the period of (3) years to cover both Retention Ponds.

Parkside Community Association was established September 12, 2000 by the developer. Parkside Community Association was built in 4 phases. During the development, the developer wanted its residents to enter Park Road with amazement providing colorful trees and lighting. The community is divided up in three sections consisting of the Parkside Centex Homes, Patio Homes, and Mungo Homes. Parkside Community has a total of 198 homes in it's development. Each section has an assigned board member as the director of that area. The board members are volunteer and place the safety and well being of the community as their priority. We love our community and its families. We have many law enforcement officers who live within our community giving us that extra safe feeling in the area. Parkside Community Association is managed by MJS Inc. 4910 Trenholm Road, Columbia, SC 29206.
